JOHNSON SUFFOLK, Jan. 7. - Funeral services for W.H. Johnson, Sr., who died here Friday night, will be held from his home, 228 Chestnut Street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. H.E. Cromer and the Rev. Dr. W.W. Staley. Mr. Johnson was the son of the late W.H. Johnson and Edith Underwood Johnson, of Isle of Wight County. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Johnson; a daughter, Mrs. R.L. Miller, of Norfolk; three sons, W.H. Jr., and C.H. [sic; Claude Anthrus], of Suffolk, and J.T. [sic; Joseph Peter] Johnson of Franklin; six grandchildren and one sister, Miss Anna Johnson, of Suffolk. Active pallbearers will be R.C. Nelms, T.A. Jordan, H.L. Cross, R.L. Parker, J.G. Turner, W.J. Boyett, R.E. Williams, John Grigg, E.W. Ayers. Honorary pallbearers include the members of the Men's Bible Class of the Main Street Methodist Church. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
