WORRELL JOYNER Mrs. Martha Worrell Joyner, 52, wife of Paul W. Joyner of Zuni, died Monday morning, January 20, in a Suffolk hospital after a long illness. A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Mrs. Pocahontas Richardson Worrell. She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gene E. Worrell of Windsor, Mrs. E.M. West, Jr., of Fayetteville, N.C., and Mrs. Harold K. Taylor of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. G.F. Clark of Zuni and Mrs. J.H. Felts of Ivor; three brothers, Philip E. Worrell of Zuni, Cliff J. Worrell of Norfolk and Benjamin Worrell of Ivor; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by Rev. J.W. Horne, pastor of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, and Rev. Ward L. Donat, pastor of the Windsor Methodist Church. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Active pallbearers were Raney H. West, Harold West, Sidney Umphlett, Lonnie Umphlett, Leonard Eley, Talmadge Edwards, Forrest Cobb and Woodrow Cobb. Martha O. (WORRELL; Mrs. Paul W.)
