R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be the Holly Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Joyner, 59, died Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Walter and Mrs. Victoria Burgess Joyner. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a peanut inspector for Virginia and the United States. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. G.J. Harrup of Suffolk and Mrs. Lila J. Bryant of Whaleyville, and two brothers, James Joyner and Ned Joyner of Suffolk.
