All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ANN ELIZA SAVAGE KING WINDSOR WHISPERINGS February 13, Mrs. Ann Eliza King, who had been confined to her bed for more than three months, passed from time into eternity last Saturday morning, February 10, 1894, at 8:40 o’clock. She had been a consistent member of Bethlehem Christian church for a number of years, and was anxious for the time to come for her to go to meet her Savior, saying that "all was well with her." Mrs. King was seventy-three years old last October. She leaves five children and a number of grandchildren to mourn her death. Her funeral was preached [from] the Windsor Christian church by her pastor, Rev. H.H. Butler, assisted by Revs. J.T. Kitchen and W.L. Richards, after which her remains were followed by many relatives and friends to the old family burying ground, where she was laid to rest. The Pall-bearers were Messrs. J.E. Nelms, M.L. Watkins, Dr. Franklin Pierce, B.F. Roberts, R.T. Holland and W.S. Holland. Ann Eliza (SAVAGE; Mrs. Michael) KING, d. 10 Feb 1894, age 73, interred in the family cemetery*, donated obit, newspaper unknown *Site not known (Jul 2019) to the Southampton County Historical Society {SCHS} Cemetery Project. Her sons Charles T. & John are buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. Find a Grave gives Eliza & Michael (1812-1873) buried there, but without attribution or photos.
