COLUMBUS KING Suffolk, Va., March 9. - Last night at midnight C. Columbus King, a prominent citizen of Holy Neck district, Nansemond county, died at his home near Holland, age 68 years and 7 months. Mr. King served as magistrate in his district for many years, and was highly esteemed by his friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wortley Sumner King; three sons, W.C. King of Suffolk, Paul King of Churchland and Walter King of Wilmington, Del.; three daughters, Miss Pearl King, Mrs. Mamie Barnes of Boykins, Va.; and Mrs. Bessie Tyler of Myrtle, Va.; four brothers, J.W. King, E.A. King of Cypress Chapel, W.A. King, treasurer of the city of Suffolk, and F.C. King of Holland, Va. The funeral services will be held at the Holland Christian church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. B.F. Black, pastor of the Holland Christian church. The interment will be made in the family cemetery. ****************************************************************************** FUNERAL OF C. C. KING Suffolk, March 10. - The funeral services of the late C.C. King, for 30 years an officer of the county, were held this afternoon at the Holland Christian church, conducted by Rev. B.F. Black, assisted by Rev. Dr. Lawless. The brothers and nephews of Rev. the deceased were his pallbearers. The interment was made in the family cemetery.
