KING IS DEAD IN COUNTY FUNERAL TUESDAY FOR PROMINENT RESIDENT OF WHALEYVILLE SECTION James M. King, a prominent farmer of the Whaleyville section, died at half past three o’clock this morning at his home, after a long illness. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. W.W. Speight , of Norfolk; Mrs. F.G. Beagle, of Philadelphia, and Miss Sarah R. King, of Whaleyville; two brothers, V.N. King of Portsmouth, A.T. King, of Newport News, and several nieces and nephews. The body was brought to the funeral home of I. O. Hill & Co. here, and on Tuesday it will be taken to the family home in the county, where on Wednesday at 3 o’clock funeral services will be held. The Rev. J.S. Taylor will conduct the services and interment will be in the family burying ground. ****************************************************************************** JAMES MOSCO KING SUFFOLK OBITUARIES Suffolk, Aug. 16. - James M. King, 65, died at his home near Whaleyville this morning at 3:30 o’clock after a lingering illness. Mr. King is survived by three sisters, Mrs. W.W. Speight, of Norfolk; Mrs. F.G. Beagle, of Philadelphia; Miss Sarah R. King, of Nansemond county; two brothers, B.M. King, of Portsmouth, and A.T. King, of Newport New; a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the funeral home of I.O. Hill & Company and will remain there until Tuesday afternoon when it will be taken to the home of the deceased. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock and will be conducted by Rev. J.S. Taylor. Burial will be in the family cemetery near Whaleyville. ****************************************************************************** SUFFOLK FUNERALS JAMES MOSCO KING Suffolk, Aug. 19 - Funeral services for James King were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the residence near Whaleyville by the Rev. J.S. Taylor. Burial was in the family cemetery near Whaleyville. Members of Great Fork Baptist Church Choir, accompanied by Miss Ruth Taylor, sang "The Old Rugged Cross, "Home Over There" and "Rock of Ages." Active pallbearers were Ernest Hayes, Stanley Russell, Arthur Harrell, Carlton Russell, Linwood Horton and Ralph Harrell. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers.
