JAMES ERNEST KNOLLE, JR. 

JAMES E. KNOLLE, JR. 

  James Ernest Knolle, Jr., 60, an engineer with the Virginia Electric and 
Power Company 43 years, died at 8:40 a.m. today (Tuesday) in Louise Obici 
Memorial Hospital. 

  A native of Baltimore, Md., he was resident of 308 Cedar St.  His parents 
were the late James Ernest and Mrs. Blanche Clarke Knolle [sic*]. 

  He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Bible Class of the 
church and was a former member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and B.P.O. 
Elks. 

  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Urquhart Knolle of the home; a 
daughter, Mrs. Robert Vann Powell of Suffolk; and a son, James Urquhart 
Knolle, also of Suffolk. 

  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the I.O. Hill & 
Company Funeral Home by the Rev. James H. Newsom Jr.  Burial will be in Holly 
Lawn Cemetery.

D.Cert. 67-032514 also gives son of James Ernest and Mrs. Blanche (CLARKE) 
   KNOLLE. 

Rather, his parents were James Michael HOLZBACK & Blanche Estelle KNOLLE; 
   they div. between 1920 & 1930. 

His father (1883 - 1917) is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Richmond. 

His mother (1877 - 1957) is buried as KNOLLE in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond.
