Service for Mrs. Luke Is Held on Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Lessie Jane Luke were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 
the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. George D. Alley, pastor of Suffolk Christian 
Church and Dr. H. S. Hardscastle, pastor of Berea Christian Church, Driver.  
Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The casket was covered with a pall of red roses and white stock.

Mr. J. Webb Pinner Jr., played an organ solo entitled "Jesus Savior Pilot Me."

Pall bearers were Arthur A. Simmons, Howard B. Rock, George V. Beamon, 
Lawrence Oliver, Elliott J. Blanchard, Landon B. Maxey, Wallace Walton, and 
Dr. David C. Forbes.

Additional Comments:
Lessie Jane Duke Luke (b. 9-14-1885, d. 4-3-1960, daughter of Charles Elisha 
Duke and Elizabeth Howell Duke) was the wife of Emmett Carson Luke.
