All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Ernest Lowe Ernest Burnley Lowe, 66, a native of Southampton County, died Wednesday in his home at 308 Central Ave., Suffolk. He was the widower of Mary V. Mancuso Lowe and the son of the late James Ivey Lowe and Mrs. Martha Bunch Lowe. Lowe had retired from Planter's Peanut Co. as a mechanic. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Goodrich of Surry County and Faye McClenney of Suffolk; three sons, Roger R. Lowe and Robert Earl Lowe, both of Suffolk, and James Burnley Lowe of Windsor; two sisters, Violet L. Clarke of Cape Canaveral, Fla., and Gladys Beaton of Suffolk; two half sisters, Bessie Blythe and Isabelle Copeland, both of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hill Underwood Funeral Home by the Rev. Henry Chaney and Capt. William Touchton. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at 316 E. Pinner St., Suffolk.
