Funerals 

Mrs. Elise Lewis 

  SUFFOLK - A funeral service for Mrs. Elise Vincent Lewis was conducted in 
Scotland Neck (N.C.) Episcopal Church Saturday by the Rev. J.E. Sturdivant, 
rector.  Burial was in Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers were 
Cecil Cotten, Fletcher Gregory, Balsom Dunn, Lester Cherry, Henry Clark, 
Douglas Temple, Thomas Blair and M.E. Askew.

b. 17 Mar 1886, Scotland Neck, Halifax Co., NC*, d. 2 Mar1961, Newport News, 
interred in Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery, Scotland Neck, NC, 4 Mar 1961,

D.Cert. 6047 (Newport News #198) gives Elsie, b. Scotland Neck, SC, 
   daughter of Zachery Taylor & Bettie (COTTEN) VINCENT.  Image posted with 
   Find a Grave Memorial #69567039 by OutOfMyTree [no grave photo]. 

Her parents, Zachariah Taylor & Bettie L. (COTTEN) VINCENT, 
   are also buried there. 

Her husband (1874 - 1940) is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk - 
   Block C, Lot 44.  Cedar Hill list, an extension of the 
   Southampton County Historical Society {SCHS} Cemetery Project:

The Suffolk M.Reg. (1914 #64) gives her mother as Bertie.
