MERRILL DORAND LLOYD

   We are pained to announce the death of Merrill Lloyd, son of Mr. M.F. Lloyd 
who died yesterday morning at eight o’clock after a few days illness of 
membranous croup, age 6 years.  The dear little fellow bore his suffering like 
a hero and amid his struggles for breath inquiring if he was going to die, the 
question was evaded by the sorrow stricken parents who asked him if he did not 
want to go to heaven: Without a tremor of fear he said yes sir, and made no 
complaint.  We sympathize with the afflicted ones.  His funeral was held at 
the home of his parents of Franklin Street this evening at four o’clock, 
Rev. H.A. Bagby and Rev. F.J. Boggs officiating.

d. 26 Oct 1890, Suffolk, age 6, 
interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block D, Lot 91), Suffolk, 
donated obit, publication unknown
