ROSSER CLAYTON LUTER

   Suffolk - Rosser Clayton Luter, 87, of the 500 block of Murphy’s Mill 
Road, a retired insurance agent, died Feb. 13, 1989, in a hospital.

   Mr. Luter, a native of Nansemond County, was retired from the United 
Insurance Company of Virginia.  He was a member of Community Baptist Church 
and was a member of King’s Fork Ruritan Club.  He was the widow of Dorothy 
R. Luter.

   Survivors include two daughters, Jean Butcher and Evelyn Archer, and a 
son, Rosser C. Luter, Jr., all of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; and six 
great-grandchildren.

   The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Holly 
Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Roger Johnson and Byron McCreary.  Friends may 
join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hill Funeral Home and 508 Murphy’s 
Mill Road at other times. 

   Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad.
