Lynch Dies in County Funeral services for Bud Ameriah Lynch, 67, who died yesterday morning at his home in Nansemond County after a short illness, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Lynch; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Raynor of Suffolk; Mrs. E.D. Tatum of Hopewell and Mrs. A.B. Nichols of Holland; five sons, Herbert, Thomas, Sam and Jesse Lynch of Suffolk, and Charlie Lynch of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Henry Edmondson of Oak City, N.C., and two brothers, J.C. Lynch of Richmond and Bennie Lynch of Tarboro, N.C. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Chester. Joe's D.Cert. 14119 (Holy Neck #14) gives son of Bud Q. & Sallie LYNCH, all b. Oak City, NC. The 1900 Census - Goose Nest Dist., Martin Co., NC - gives Ameriah, b. Jun 1881, son of Ameriah, b. Jan 1842, & Sarah W. LYNCH, b. Aug 1841, m. 28 years, 5 of 7 children surviving. "A.B." LYNCH of Halifax, NC, petitioned for a presidential pardon under the proclamation of 29 May 1865 - recommended for approval 6 Jul 1865.
