All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ADA ELEY LANKFORD Suffolk, Feb. 16 - Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Eley Lankford were conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the residence near Windsor by the Rev. W.V. Carroll and the Rev. J. Sydney Cobb. Burial was in Western Branch Cemetery. A quartet composed of Mrs. Clarence Harrell, Mrs. G.C. Bradshaw, James Moore and Dr. I.W. Johnson, sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Sometime We’ll Understand." A duet, "Old Rugged Cross," was sung by the Rev. and Mrs. W.V. Carroll. There were many floral tributes and the casket was covered with a pall of Ascension lilies and pink roses. Active pallbearers were Garland Tebo, Ralph Eley, Fulmer McAbee, Alton Eley, Marshall L. Bowden, Charlie C. Johnson, Edgar L. Bradshaw, and Norman Bossellman. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Ada (ELEY; Mrs. Wiley J.)
