William H. Corbitt, his pastor, burial being made in Sycamore Church Cemetery, this county, active pallbearers being Herman Eley, Sam, William, and Hudson Lankford, Linwood Pierce, McCoy Howell, J.A. Carr and William Vaughan. The young man is survived by his father, Robert Irwin Lankford, his aunt, Mrs. J.W. Smith, with whom he had made his home since his mother’s death several years ago, by a sister, Miss Jessie May Lankford, and several other aunts and uncles, the deceased being a nephew of W.H. Lankford of this town and S.W. Lankford of the community. Mr. Lankford was a student in the Holland High School and was a member of the Holland Baptist Church.
