Lawrence Buried in Richmond Funeral services for John Richard Lawrence were conducted at the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home yesterday at 11 a.m. by Dr. Jesse H. Dollar, former pastor of Liberty Spring Christian Church. The pall was white carnations and white gladioli. Active pallbearers were John Williams, L.F. Darden, Joel E. Harrell, Jr., A.C. Moore, C.T. White, Jr., Lyman Tripp and David A. Darden. Interment was in the Maury Cemetery in Richmond. Lawrence died at Obici Hospital Wednesday. A photo of the monument - added by MRMayhall - which shows b. 24 Aug 1896, is posted with Find a Grave Memorial #193829209. The memorial states his birth name was Lawrence Trace BOYER. His WW-I draft card gives Lawrence Thomas BOYER, b. 24 Aug 1896; res: Wyebrooke, Chester Co., PA. His WW-II draft card gives John Richard LAWRENCE, b. 24 Aug 1896; res: Wakefield R.F.D., Sussex Co., VA. As Lawrence T. BOYER, he 1m. Anna S. WATSON, 9 Dec 1914, in West Chester, Chester Co., PA. She (1899 - 1977) 2m. Albert Chandler WALKER, 1 Sep 1923, in Wilmington, New Castle Co., DE. They are buried in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, Chester Co., PA. As Lawrence T. BOYER, he 2m. Bertha M. VETTER, 8 Jun 1922, in West Chester, Chester Co., PA. She (1891 - 1950) is buried with her parents in Lorraine Park Cemetery, Woodlawn, Baltimore Co., MD. He appears as John R. LAWRENCE, 32, in the 1930 Census - 2107 Allendale Rd., Baltimore, MD - with Isabell, 22. D.Cert. 26394 (Chuckatuck #292) gives b. 25 Aug 1896, son of Ammon NMN BOYER ["LAWRENCE" struck] & Sarah STRUNK ["STRURK" struck]. His parents, Ammon Strunk & Mary E. (TRACE) BOYER, & paternal grandparents, Jeremiah M. & "Sallie" Sarah Ann Yorgey (STRUNK) BOYER, are buried in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown, Berks Co., PA. Jeremiah was a Federal veteran, having served in Co. B, 91st PA Infantry 21 Mar - 10 Jul 1865.
