CHARLES ERVIN MOFFITT 

Charles E. Moffitt 

  NANSEMOND - Charles Ervin Moffitt, 40, of 200 Colonial Drive, the husband 
of Mrs. Donna Earline Moffitt, died Monday in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth. 

  A native of Dayton, Tenn., he was a rigger at Newport News Shipbuilding and 
Dry Dock Co.  A retired, 20 year Navy veteran, he saw service in the Korean 
and Vietnam Wars. 

  Besides his widow, survivors include a daughter, Miss Katherine Francis 
Moffitt, and a son, David Charles Moffitt, both of Nansemond. 

  A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial 
Gardens by the Rev. Bob Myers.  Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth, has 
charge.

He m. Donna Earline MINICK 13 Sep 1958 in San Diego Co., CA.  She was b. 
   in Sep 1936 in OR & d. 4 Aug 1996 in San Patricio Co., TX.
