Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ben Fowler, Mrs. Sallie Copeland, Mrs. Maggie Harrell, Mrs. Phenie Copeland, and Mrs. Kadar Harrell, of Nansemond County; four sons, Daniel, M.H., John and Clayton MacClenny, all of the, county; stepson, H.S. MacClenny, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the grave in Copeland Cemetery near Buckhorn, and will be conducted by the Rev. W.H. Corbitt, of Holland. ****************************************************************************** MORTUARY MRS. ANNE McCLENNY Funeral services for Mrs. Anne McClenny were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the grave in the Copeland cemetery, near Buckhorn, Va., conducted by the Rev. W.H. Corbitt. Members of the Holland Baptist Church choir rendered the selections, "Shall We Meet at the River" and "Rock of Ages." Active pallbearers were: John Wyatt, Jesse Copeland, Aubrey Copeland, Marion Harrell, Norman Butler, Johnnie Harrell, Rufus Copeland, Kinney Copeland. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Find a Grave Memorial #201045002 [no grave photo] gives d. 24 Jan 1961, apparently confusing her with Annie L. (HOLLAND; Mrs. Elisha Thomas) HOLLAND, daughter of Hardy HOLLAND, b. 1836, son of Eley & Amy HOLLAND, and Louisa JONES; all buried in the Holland Municipal Cemetery. (Find a Grave Memorial #92278200 &c.) Her husband 1m. her sister Sarah Elizabeth HOLLAND 18 Sep 1877 (Nansemond Co. #78; "Christian Sun, Sep. 21, 1877, p. 3) Nansemond Co. D.Reg. 1877 #50 gives Sarah McCLENNY as d. 16 Jun 1877 of childbed; obviously there's an error somewhere.
