MISS WINNIE D. MASON 

  CRITTENDEN -- Miss Winnie Davis Mason, 78, died Saturday at 1:55 p.m. in 
a Portsmouth nursing home. 

  A native of Hobson, she was a daughter of William E. and Mrs. Sarah Ann 
Mason. 

  She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. 

  She is survived by a brother, Edward B. Mason of Portsmouth. 

  A funeral service was held today (Monday) at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. 
Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Samuel S. Cole.  Burial was in Mt. Zion 
Cemetery.
