McNally, whose wife, Mrs. Maggie Spencer McNally, died from injuries when she fell down the steps at her home on East Washington street one day last week, is reported critically ill at Lakeview Hospital where he was taken late yesterday. The nature of his illness was not stated. It is said that the death of his wife, known widely as "Mrs. Dr." Spencer McNally, under such sudden and distressing circumstances was a great shock to the aged husband and it is thought this has made his condition more serious. ****************************************************************************** TWO IN FAMILY TAKEN IN WEEK In Less Than Week Charles McNally Follows His Wife, the Late Dr. Spencer McNally to the Grave. In less than a week after the death of his wife, Mrs. Maggie Spencer McNally, widely known as "Dr." Maggie Spencer before her second marriage, Charles Henry McNally, her last, husband, passed away this morning at 6:10 o'clock in Lakeview Hospital, where he was entered as a patient a few days ago. It was stated at the hospital on the day of his becoming a patient there that Mr. McNally, who was 71 years of age, was critically ill with only slight hopes of his recovery. He was compelled to undergo a surgical operation which at his advanced age was a serious matter. He was twice married and is survived by three children from the first union. They are A.P. McNally, of Suffolk; Mrs. B.J. Cameron, of Fairfax, Vermont, and C.M. McNally, of St. Albans, Vermont. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from the home of his son, 213 Central avenue, the body having been taken there this morning. The service will be conducted by the Rev. J.S. Venable, pastor of the Presbyterian church of which Mr. McNally had long been a faithful member, and burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. It will be recalled that Mrs. McNally received fatal injuries in a mysterious fall down the stairway of the family home on East Washington street last Monday afternoon. When found she was unconscious in a pool of blood in the hallway. Examination showed a badly fractured skull and other injuries. She died last Wednesday without having regained consciousness. Her husband, who was ill at the time with the malady that ended in his death today, was greatly shocked by the tragedy and this probably contributed to his end. ****************************************************************************** Funeral Rites For Charles H.
