No Find a Grave Memorial  (Feb 2026) 

Her husband was a Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Co. F, 
   9th VA Infantry; was severely wounded in the arm at Seven Pines. 

They m. 15 Apr 1883 in Suffolk; the Nansemond Co. M.Reg. (#14) gives 
   daughter of Arthur & Mary PEEL. 

Esther does not appear with the family of Arthur & Mary PEEL in the 
   1850 or '60 Census. 

Thomas 3m. Ida C. GRAY 24 Apr 1897 in Nansemond Co.
