BESSIE BAINES MATTHEWS

  Suffolk - Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Baines Matthews, who died
Wednesday, were conducted Friday afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home by the
Rev. Raymond H. Phelps, pastor of Liberty Spring Christian Church, and the
Rev. R. E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church.

   Burial was in Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were R.D. Carter, Ryland Branch, Connie Branch, Frank Ellis,
B.W. Edwards, B.L. Matthews, Russell H. Matthews and Raleigh D. Ellis.
