Aldro Mitchell Funeral services for M. Sgt. Aldro Wayne Mitchell will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. John C. Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Chaplain D.G. Carnes of Langley Field Air Force Base. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery [sic*] with military rites at the graveside. Sgt. Mitchell, 46, died suddenly Friday at 7:45 p.m. at Langley Field Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife, Susie Williams Mitchell of the home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Mitchell of Washington, N.C., a daughter, Susan Wayne Mitchell, and a brother, Earl H. Mitchell of Washington, N.C. ****************************************************************************** Military Rites For Sgt. Aldro Mitchell Funeral services for M. Sgt. Aldro Wayne Mitchell, who died Saturday, were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. John Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and Chaplain B[mis-print] Carnes of Langley Field Air Force Base. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery will full military rites at the graveside. A quartet composed of Senior M. Sgt. John F. Dyson, S. Sgt. Jerry C. Davison, M. Sgt. William Gicking and M. Sgt. Bertil F. Swanson sang "There'll be Peace in the Valley," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. J. Webb Pinner Jr. Mrs. Pinner also played an organ solo, "My Faith Looks Up To Thee." The casket was covered with an American Flag and a pall of red and white carnations. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were members of Langley Squardron 4500, who attended in a body of 200 strong.
