SALLIE VANN MITCHELL

   Suffolk, Jan 20 - Mrs. Sallie Vann Mitchell, aged 76, widow of W.J. Mitchell, 
died tonight at 10:45 o’clock at her home in Nansemond County after a short 
illness. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Myra V. Mitchell, of Nansemond 
County, and Mrs. W.L. Daniels, of Blunt’s Creek, N.C.; four sons, W.A. Mitchell, 
of Nansemond County; H.C. Mitchell, of Conway, N.C. and R.B. and J.J. Mitchell, 
of Richmond; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, 
Misses Minnie C. and Mary E. Vann, of Winton, N.C.

   The body was removed to the funeral home of I.O. Hill & Co., in Suffolk, 
where funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock by 
the Rev. W.B. Carroll, of Windsor, Va.  Burial will be in the Vann family 
cemetery near Winton.
