Milteer Dies Early This Morning Mrs. D.H. Milteer died at 12:30 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Phillips. She was 71 years of age. Surviving Mrs. Milteer are her husband, D.H. Milteer, a daughter, Mrs. Phillips; seven grandchildren; a brother, R.B. Odom; a niece and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Phillips home at 2:30 Friday afternoon. Burial will be made in the cemetery at Holy Neck Christian church, with Dr. N.G. Newman, pastor to the deceased, and Dr. H.J. Goodwin conducting the rites. Pall-bearers will include Brook Darden, John Norfleet, Arthur R. Holland, H.H. Williams, R.H. Joyner, J.T. Beale and M.P. Wright. Friends of the family will act as honorary pallbearers. ****************************************************************************** MRS. D.H. MILTEER, 71, DIES; FUNERAL TODAY Suffolk, Sept. 29, - Mrs. D.H. Milteer died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Phillips, at 12:30 o'clock, after a long illness, aged 71 years. Surviving her are her husband, D.H. Milteer; a brother, R.B. Odom; a niece and two nephews, all of Nansemond County, and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. W.A. Phillips tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Dr. N.G. Newman, pastor of Holy Neck Christian Church, in which Mrs. Milteer had long held membership, assisted by Rev. Dr. H.J. Goodwin, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Suffolk. Active pallbearers will be Brock Darden, John Norfleet, Arthur D. Holland, H.H. Williams. R.H. Joyner, J.T. Beale, M.P. Wright. Friends of the family have been asked to act as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be made in Holy Neck Cemetery.
