Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The body arrived in Suffolk Thursday and was taken to the Hill Funeral Home. [photo, captioned:] MRS. VIRGINIA MILLER ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Virginia Miller Service Held Sunday Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Mae Baines Miller, who died August 1, in Japan, were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Brittle read two poems, "To Parents" and "Crossing The Bar." Mrs. Claudia Jacobs played an organ solo entitled "Jesus Savior Pilot Me." The casket was covered with a pall of yellow roses, yellow chrysanthemums, lavender asters and baby's breath. Pallbearers were John Barnes, Jr., Arthur Wilkins, Troy Bass, Jimmy Grady, Kenneth Green, John Duke, Jr., Owen Eason, Jr., and Raleigh Earl Brinkley. Her husband (1924 - 2006) served in the Navy during WW-II, then joined the Air Force, and was decorated for his service during the Vietnam War. He remarried circa 1962 to Irma Gertrude SHEPARD.
