He was the husband of the late Mrs. Louise Pulley Moore and a son of the late William Henry and Mrs. Lillie Roberta Johnson Moore of Nansemond County. A native of Nansemond County, he was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are one brother, John Wallace Moore, and two nephews, John Wallace Moore Jr., and William Frank Moore, all of Franklin. A funeral service was held at W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home today (Thursday) at 4:30 p.m. by the Rev. Phillip Jenkins, pastor of South Quay Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Carlton Cutchin, Marion Reid, Clifton Allen, Clifton Daughtrey, Charlie Johnson and Robert Crumpler.
