All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ETTA SUMNER MARCH Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Sumner March, aged 76, who died last Friday morning at her home in Nansemond County near Franklin, were held from the residence last Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Rev. Dr. N.G. Newman and Rev. W.H. Corbitt officiating. The choir of the South Quay Baptist Church sang sacred selections, William Darden of Holland singing a solo, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies and ferns. Active pallbearers were: J. Hudson Howell, George Gardner, Grady Gardner, D.H. Howell, Ernest Taylor, Ether, Harvey and Mills March. The deceased is survived by four daughters: Miss Mattie March, Mrs. I.A. Everett, Mrs. C.C. Braden and Mrs. Claude Davidson, all of Nansemond County; three sons: L.E., R.D. and D.E. March, of Nansemond and a brother, D.L. Sumner of Nansemond. Mrs. Etta M.
