MYRICK, 75, RETIRED SUFFOLK REVENUE CHIEF Suffolk - William Theodore Myrick, 75, retired Suffolk commissioner of revenue, died Tuesday in Louise Obici Memorial hospital. Myrick, a teacher at Maury High School in Norfolk for many years, was elected commissioner in 1945 and served in that post without opposition until his retirement because of ill health in 1971. A native of Suffolk, he was a son of A.R. and Mrs. Anna Myrick. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1917 with a degree in engineering and served in the Army during World War I as a second lieutenant. He was a trustee, member of the administrative board and church school teacher at Main Street United Methodist Church. He was active for some years in area Boy Scout work. He was a past president of the Suffolk Lions Club. He is survived by a brother, E. Britt Myrick of Phoenix. Ariz. A funeral service will be conducted today at noon in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Kenneth Whetzel of Main Street United Methodist Church. The funeral procession will leave R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home at 11:45 a.m. for the cemetery.
