A native of Stokes County. N.C.. she was the widow of William Wortz [sic*] Marshall. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include four daughters, Blanche S. Johnson and Imogene M. Dixon, both of Suffolk, Lillie M. Brown of Walnut Cove, N.C., and Mary M. Blackburn of Portsmouth; a son, William Woodrow Marshall of Wilson, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home by the Revs. Edward Pope and W.S. Kidd. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Susan Elizabeth "Bettie" (TAYLOR; Mrs. William W.)
