MORGAN Suffolk, April 11. — Mrs. H.A. Morgan died at her residence, 106 Pinner street, at 3 o'clock this morning, aged 51 years. She is survived by her husband and one son, W.J. Morgan, of Suffolk; one sister, Mrs. Susanna Parker, of Nurney; one brother, W.W. Smith, of Nurney. The funeral services will be held at the grave in the family cemetery at 2:30 o'clock Friday by Rev. H.H. Butler, near Nurney. D.Cert. 10069 (Suffolk #63) gives b. 2 Feb 1868, Nansemond Co.; d. age 51 yrs., 2 mos., & 9 days; the informant was William J. MORGAN, her son. She m. Henry Augustus MORGAN, son of Augustus & Mary Ann (BOOTHE) MORGAN, 31 Mar 1887. The Nansemond Co. M.Reg. ('87 #56) gives Mary as b. in Gates Co., NC. They appear in the 1900 Census - Owned Free Farm #188, Cypress Dist., Nansemond Co. - m. 13 years, 1 of 2 children surviving; her parents, James G. & "Sallie" Sarah (HORTON) SMITH, were living with them. I, 41st VA Infantry. Her father James was indeed b. in Gates Co., NC.
