Mrs. Virginia Martin Buried Here Monday 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Jenkins Martin, who died Saturday 
afternoon at the Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, were held yesterday 
afternoon at 5 o'clock at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. 
Herbert N. Tucker, Jr., assistant rector of Bruton Parish Episcopal 
Church in Williamsburg, officiating.  Burial followed in Cedar Hill 
Cemetery. 

  The church choir, accompanied at the organ by Professor L.W. Gross, 
sang "For All the Saints Rest" and "Peace, Perfect Peace." 

  The pall was of white roses, Easter lilies and baby's breath.  Pallbearers 
were Brownrigg Dixon, G. Lloyd Bell, E. Roland Custis, Edwin T. Coulbourn, 
James L. McLemore, Jr., Walter Pierson, Dickie Lipscomb, Lyman Jones and 
Edward Blanchard.

*D.Cert. 14785 (Chuckatuck #222) gives Virginia Jean, but that could have been 
   a nickname. 

Her m.rec. gives both the bride & her mother as Virginia L. 

Her husband & his brother were killed in a wreck in Suffolk, 5 Sep 1939.
