Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Julian S. Hopkins, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. Paul H. Black officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, C.L. Nixon, of Suffolk; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Britt, of New London, Connecticut; one son, James T. Turner, of New London; two sisters, Mrs. W.B. White of Norfolk and Mrs. C.O. Vanwyck, of Portsmouth; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, possibly unmarked. Widowed, she 2m. Howard's brother Willie Adkins TURNER (1900 - 1965) ca. 1932. They div. 19 Sep 1944; the cert. gives m. 19 Mar 1921, but married 12 years. Her step-mother Betty (DIXON ETHERIDGE WHITE) SKINNER (1880 - 1967) is buried in Evergreen Memorial Park, Portsmouth.
