Nelms SUFFOLK - Elsie Turner Nelms, 91, of 117 Wellons St. died Saturday in a nursing home. She was a native of Nansemond County and the widow of Hurley Clifton Nelms. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and its Ladies Star Sunday School Class and the W.W. Staley Women’s Fellowship Circle. Survivors include a sister Annie Maye Jones Dixon of Suffolk; and niece and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by Dr. Merle D. Correll. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at the home of Annie Maye Jones Dixon, 411 W. Constance Road, Suffolk.
