NORFLEET Funeral services for Frederick Scott Norfleet were conducted today at 4 p.m. at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Mahlon Elliott, pastor of Oxford Methodist Church and the Rev. George S. Lightner, pastor of Main Street Methodist Church. Mr. Norfleet, 41, son of Mrs. Addie Oliver Norfleet and the late Lemuel Hunter Norfleet of Suffolk was found dead Sunday afternoon at Lake Cohoon. He was a member of Oxford Methodist Church and the Suffolk American Legion Post 57. Mr. Norfleet had been affiliated with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for eight years. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anne Parker Norfleet, one daughter, Miss Ann Scott Norfleet, and one son, Frederick Parker Norfleet, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Robert N. Norfleet of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. J. Manley Long of Wakefield, Miss Clara J. Norfleet of Richmond and Mrs. Julianna N. Swann of Suffolk, and several nieces and nephews. "Fred" Frederick Scott NORFLEET, insurance agent, d. 8 Mar 1959, Lake Cahoon, age 41, interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block G, Lot 43*), Suffolk, 9 Mar 1959, donated obit, publication unknown *His parents are buried in Block A, Lot 15.
