He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Riggan, formerly of Richmond, now of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Maggie Harvey of Appomattox; two brothers, A.E. Norfleet and J.T. Norfleet, both of Nansemond Co. Funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home with burial in Western Branch Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JESSE JULIAN NORFLEET SUFFOLK - A funeral service for Jesse Julian Norfleet was conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Eric Alexie and the Rev. B.C. Akers. Burial was in Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Harvey, Herman Harvey, George Edwards, Robert Edwards, Clifton Robinson, Robert Norfleet, William Norfleet and Abum [sic; Abram] Norfleet Jr. Norfleet, 71, of Windsor Road died Friday morning in a hospital. A native of Nansemond County, he was a son of Joseph Edward and Mrs. Sarah Saunders Norfleet and the husband of the late Mrs. Freemie Eure Norfleet. He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and King’s Fork Ruritan Club. He was a justice of the peace for Nansemond County, sold hunting and fishing license, and owned and operated Providence Esso Station and Grocery. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Harvey of Appomattox and Mrs. Fannie Riggan of Virginia Beach; and two brothers, A.E. Norfleet and J.T. Norfleet of Nansemond County; and several nieces and nephews. Jesse Julian NORFLEET, Nansemond Co.
