Britt While Shooting Sora - [...] Suffolk, Va.. Sept. 8. - (Special) - [...] ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. - While on a hunting trip in the marshes on the Nansemond river yesterday Robert J. Norfteet, a twin brother of Councilman John B. Norfleet, was accidentally shot. Though painfully hurt his wounds are not of a serious nature. Several of the shot entered his face, while his hands and other parts of the body were also peppered. Harvey Eggleston, who was in the same boat as Mr. Norfleet, had two neat little holes punctured in an ear. The gun which did the mischief was fired by Captain E.B. Britt, postmaster of Suffolk. There were a number of boats scattered through the marshes shooting sora, and many of them were in easy range of each other. Captain Britt had a pretty shot at a sora which happened to be between him and Norfleet's boat, and some of the shot found a lodging place in human game. The wounded men came home and received surgical attention.
