NURNEY WILL BE BURIED TODAY Suffolk, Va., June 3. - The funeral services of the late Joseph Henry Nurney, who died at his home on Washington street Sunday evening at 6:30 o'clock, will be conducted from his late home on Washington street Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Dr. Thos. R. English of Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, assisted by Rev. R.M. Maxey of Main Street M.E. church and Rev. J.F. Coleman of St. Paul's P.E. church. Several officials of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad will be present. Mr. Nurney was not only for many years an official of the Coast Line, but the Norfolk Division was built partly under his supervision. The following pallbearers have been invited to serve: Honorary - Dr. J.M. Gibson, John B. Pinner, R.E. Jones, C.B. Metcalf, J.W. Simmons, Charles Tucker, George B. Walton, Otis Smith, W.W. Ballard, Walter Powell, B.J. Hughes, W.H. Jones, Jr., Mansfield Batten, C.J. Duke, Herbert West, Gilbert Hume, Dr. F.J. Morrison, Dr. W.W. Murray, R.L. Woodward and W.G. Elam. Active - J.R. Ellison, A.C. Nurney, F.L. Hart, George W. Skinner, Lee Senica, R.H. Brinkley, F.W. Lloyd, and Luther Caulk. The body will be interred with rites of Masons and Woodmen of World, in Cedar Hill cemetery.
