OUTLAW William Rotha Outlaw, 53, a resident of 114 Chestnut Street, died at 4:45 a.m. today (Monday) in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Hertford County [sic*], N.C., he was a son of the late John W. and Mrs. Emma O. Outlaw. He was a member of Merry Hill, N.C., Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dale Johnson of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Lassiter and Mrs. Juanita Hurdle, both of Aulander, N.C.; his step- mother, Mrs. Gracie Cook of Aulander; and two step-brothers, Lester Terry of Aulander and Wallace Terry of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in I.O. Hill & Company Funeral Home by the Rev. K. Donald Berg. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the home of T.L. Salmon, 114 Chestnut St. on Wednesday. ****************************************************************************** WILLIAM ROTHA OUTLAW SUFFOLK - William Rotha Outlaw, 53, of 114 Chestnut St. died Monday at 4:45 a.m. in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Hertford, N.C., he worked for the Grizzard's Service Station. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Bertha Lowe Outland and a son of John W. and Mrs. Emma Outlaw. He was a member of Merry Hill, N.C. Baptist Church. Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Dale Johnson of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Doris O. Lassiter and Mrs. Juanita O. Hurdle of Aulander, N.C.; and two half-brothers, Lester Terry of Aulander and Wallace Terry of Norfolk. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. William is buried with his first wife Bertha Louise (LOWE SNOOK) OUTLAW (1920-1955), daughter of "Jimmie" James Ivea Jr. & Martha J. (BUNCH) LOWE.
