WILLIAM EDWARD OLIVER

   Suffolk, Va., July 31 - William Edward Oliver, an old and highly esteemed 
citizen of this city, died this afternoon at his home in Main Street in the 
sixty-eighth year of his age.  Mr. Oliver is survived by his widow, Mrs. 
Jeannette Oliver; two sons, Jasper Oliver and Edward Oliver; one daughter, Mrs. 
Lemuel Norfleet; one sister, Mrs. Media Anne Pruden, and nine grandchildren.

   Mr. Oliver was a member of Main Street M.E. Church, and a man of lovable 
character, with a wide circle of friends. The funeral services will be held 
Monday afternoon at the home, 233 Main Street, at 4:30 o’clock, conducted by Mr. 
Winn. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery.
