Rev. J.F. Love accompanied the funeral procession to the grove. The family of the deceased formerly resided in Suffolk. ****************************************************************************** BRAMBLETON. [...] It gives pain to report the death by diphtheria of Katie Potter, aged 12 years and 6 months, and daughter of Mr. R.E. and Mrs. Wortley Potter, which occurred Wednesday afternoon at their residence, No. 117 North Park avenue. She had been sick only a few days and had trachestomy preformed by Drs. Davidson, Grimes and Meredith. She, however, could not survive the serious inroads already made by this dreadful disease. After religious services, conducted privately by Rev. E.B. McClur, her remains were taken for interment to Suffolk, the former home of the family, via Norfolk and Carolina railroad, at 2 p.m. yesterday.
