Powell Hundreds of people yesterday afternoon attended the funeral services of Allie H. Powell, game [warden] for the past 20 years, conducted at the Powell residence near Lake Cohoon, by the Rev. Fred A. Holden, and the Rev. R.E. Brittle and Dr. I.W. Johnson. During the services Rev. Brittle, accompanied by Mrs. I.W. Johnson, sang, "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." A pall of Ascension lilies and red roses covered the casket. There were many handsome floral tributes. Active pallbearers were Hurley and Callie Hingerty, Ernest Oliver, Pennie and Sidney Powell, Horace Oliver, J.S. and C.W. Smith. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
