Pipkin Powell, 71, of 1300 Holland Rd., Suffolk died Tuesday in a Suffolk hospital. A native of Suffolk, he owned and operated the Pastry Shop for thirty years, having retired in June, 1971. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie Ellis Powell; one daughter, Mrs. Malene Bryant of Suffolk; one sister, Miss Wilma Powell of Suffolk; one granddaughter; one niece, Miss Evelyn Daughtrey of Mechanicsville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home, by the Rev. Robert D. Fridley, with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
