AVA C. PIERCE

   Funeral services for Mrs. Ava C. Pierce, who died Friday morning, were 
conducted Monday afternoon at the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the 
Rev. James H. Lightbourne, pastor of the Holland Congregational Christian 
Church.

   Burial was in the Jernigan family cemetery in Nansemond County. Pallbearers 
were Willie Horton, Charlie Goodman, John Henry Goodman, J.T. Pierce, Frank 
Goodman, and Howard Goodman.
