PIERCE WINDSOR - Mrs. Cora Wise Carr Pierce, 84, died Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class and Woman's Fellowship of Antioch Christian Church, where she held membership. She was a daughter of Solomon and Mrs. Mary Jane Butler Carr and the widow of George Franklin Pierce. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. Hobdy Godwin of Windsor and Mrs. E.C. Rowell of Suffolk; two sons, George Lilton Pierce of Zuni and Roy Seward Pierce of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Ellis N. Clark and the Rev. James McDonald. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
