Pierce Dies in Hospital; Rites Sunday WINDSOR - George Franklin Pierce, 82, of Windsor, died today at 4:48 a.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Ellis N. Clark of Sunbury and the Rev. T. Fred Wright. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. He was a member of Antioch Christian church and was the son of Jerry E. and Anna Richards Pierce of Isle of Wight county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora C. Pierce, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Godwin of Windsor; and Mrs. E.C. Rowell of Portsmouth; two sons, G.T. Pierce of Zuni and Roy S. Pierce of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Nelms Butler of Nansemond county and Mrs. Bessie P. Holland of Windsor; a brother, W.L. Pierce Sr. of Windsor; a half-sister, Mrs Ethel Mae Pierce of Windsor; a half-brother, H.E. Pierce of Windsor; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** G. F. Pierce, 82, Buried Sept. 24 In Suffolk, Va. George Franklin Pierce, 82, of Windsor, died early Friday, September 22, 1961, in the Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Jerry E. and Mrs. Anna Richards Pierce and was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Cora C.
