Mrs. Ida Parrish Succumbs at 89 

  Ida Carpenter Parrish, 80, widow of the late Lammie O. Parrish, former 
resident of Suffolk, died in Atlanta. Ga.. Saturday night.  She was a native 
of North Carolina, and the daughter of the late William Carpenter and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Pollard Carpenter. 

  Mrs. Parrish is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gilbert of Atlanta, 
Georgia; one grandson, L.B. Parrish of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Lottie 
Sheppard, of Portsmouth; and several nieces and newphews. 

  The body was taken to the R.W. Baker Funeral Home.  Funeral arrangements 
will be aunoweed later.

Mrs. Ida Parrish Buried Yesterday 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Carpenter Parrish were conducted yesterday at 
the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. George S. Lightner, pastor 
of Main Street Methodist Church.  Pallbearers were members of the staff of the 
Baker Funeral Home.

They m. 1 Apr 1886 in Durham, Durham Co., NC. 

Their daughter Olivia M. PARRISH was b. 27 Oct 1889 in Suffolk. 

Her parents, William CARPENTER & Elizabeth POLLARD, m. 10 Jan 1861, 
   in Wake Co., NC.
