MRS. SARAH J. PEARCE 

  Mrs. Sarah (Sallie) Jerusha Pearce, 83, of RFD 4, died at 2:45 a.m. today 
(Thursday) in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. 

  She was the widow of Robert Sug Pearce and daughter of the late John T. 
Pierce and Mrs. Georgetta Luke Pierce. 

  She was a native of Nansemond County and a member of Bethlehem Christian 
Church and its Mary Sue Brittle Bible Class. 

  Among her survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Robert Oliver of Crittenden, 
and Mrs. Frank E. Benson and Mrs. C.F. Johnson, both of Norfolk; and three 
brothers, Isaac A. Pierce of Portsmouth and Claudies R. Pierce and Raleigh 
W. Pierce, both of Nansemond County. 

  A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the I.O. Hill & 
Co. Funeral Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be in Bethlehem Christian 
Church Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the home of Claudies R. Pierce, Lake Prince Road.
