PEACE [sic; PIERCE] Funeral services for William C. Pierce were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Liberty Spring Christian church, conducted by the Rev. H.S. Hardcastle, Dr. John G. Truitt and the Rev. Mr. Claud. Members of the church choir, accompanied by Mrs. James Barnes, rendered the selections "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Home of the Soul." A solo, "Face To Face," was sung by Mr. Mordant Etheridge. Active pallbearers were: Ben Nelson, Fitzhugh Copeland, Thurman Copeland, E.F. Raiford, E.S. Hargrave, P.C. Hutchins, O.L. Baker, Murray Norfleet. Interment was in the church cemetery.
