DARDEN, of Newsoms, omitted from text. She is buried in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin - Annex 3B, Plot 59B. SCHS Cemetery Project, Poplar Spring list: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/cemeteries/psanx3.txt His D.Cert. (26705 {Suffolk #755) also gives his widow as Mary, as does at least one other record. Her name was Sarah Elizabeth (HARRELL) PARKER, but most records give Bettie. Her gravestone shows Sarah H. PARKER. (Find a Grave Mem. #15558812) The step-children have me baffled. Neither of his wives had previously been married.
